To compliment the size of the center axle, our unique carbon & ceramic drag system is engineered oversized with a series of  ceramic balls, springs and carbon plates that are geometrically optimized to engage instantaneously when the rotation on the reel reverses direction. Max drag exceeds 15+ lbs for bluewater capabilities.

Two main engineering goals were aimed at: Quality materials design and ergonomics. The Body of the reel is comprised of Aerospace grade 6061-T6 Aluminum with a 0.4 mil hard anodizing for scratch resistance. Our oversized reel knob is designed to fit seamless in your fingers with frictionless rotation for aggressive reeling, coupled with a carbon fiber lever  drag dial for quick adjusting when there's no time to waste.
